RoHS
RoHS (the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) affects manufacturers, sellers, distributors and recyclers of electrical and electronic equipment, which bans 6 materials such as Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

U.R.T. overall does not use the 6 materials that are prohibited by RoHS for new models of display.

U.R.T. alters the current electronic components that contain restricted materials. Establishing a database and supply chain management for all suppliers regarding various materials to ensure it meets all the requirements for RoHS.

U.R.T. follows the requirements of RoHS to use the electronic components in correspond with the customers' needs.

U.R.T. alters the current materials to be Pb-free soldering tin and SMT manufacturing process since 2005 and asks our suppliers to meet all the requirements of RoHS.

Starting from 2006, all new products meet requirements of RoHS.

Pb-free
Pb-Free (Lead-Free) system in electronic components is facing the fact of increasing attention within electronics industries, due to environmental issues concerns in EU and around the world. U.R.T. looks forward to working with our customers to offer the most cost-effective and reliable Pb-Free products for customers’ needs.

We are developing Pb-Free system that would help to discontinue the use of lead and other restricted materials in our products as well as in the process of manufacture. In addition, Pb-Free system must be driven across the supply chain and be integrated with green procurement.
