Introduction
Compare with resistive type, capacitive touch panel possess more excellent properties, including high transparence, high surface hardness and low press-force. By employing these properties engineer can design higher performance HMI (Human Machine Interface).
 
Structure
A capacitive touchscreen panel consists of one cover glass and two ITO glasses and two optical clear adhesives which are used to laminate these glasses together.
 
 
According to different applications, various thickness cover and ITO glasses can be adopted.
 
Principle
When a finger touches the panel, as the human body is also an electrical conductor, it results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. The TP controller can sense the slight capacitance difference in each ITO trace. According to the variation in capacity, the controller can figure out the finger location precisely.
